  • Safari-appropriate muted colours (khaki, olive, brown). No white or bright colours that startle animals. Hat essential.

Local know-how

  • Local SIM: Dialog, Mobitel. Coverage good at Tissamaharama, limited inside park.
  • Peak season in February: keep bags zipped and don't flash jewellery
