- Local SIM: Zain, Orange, Umniah Jordan. Get SIM at Amman Airport. Coverage good in towns.
- Pocket tissues: some island toilets are squat-style or limited
- Unlicensed taxi or rideshare overcharging — agree the fare before entering or use a metered cab
