Valencia is very safe — recently voted among Europe's best cities for quality of life. Valencia and the City of Arts and Sciences area are pristine. Ruzafa neighbourhood is trendy and safe. Main risk is pickpockets on the EMT buses (especially line 5 to the beach) and at the Mercado Central during morning rush. Avoid the outer Nou Moles and Torrefiel areas at night.
