safeOrlando is extremely safe in its tourist zones — Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, and International Drive are among the most heavily policed tourist areas in the USA. Main risk is the extreme summer heat (June–Sept averaging 33°C+) — stay hydrated and use sunscreen. The Orange Blossom Trail (US 441) north of downtown is a known rough area — avoid at night. Traffic around theme parks during peak hours (Fri–Sun) is extreme — allow extra driving time.
Women travellers
Orlando's tourist zones (International Drive, Disney resort area, Universal area) are very safe and heavily policed. Solo women travelling to theme parks are safe. Avoid straying from the tourist corridors into residential parts of Orange Blossom Trail at night.
