Naantali travel guide

Naantali is Finland's sunniest and most charming small town — a former convent community whose well-preserved wooden old town and tranquil harbour have made it Finland's summer idyll. It is home to Moomin World, the beloved theme park based on Tove Jansson's Finnish characters, attracting families from across Europe. The Presidential Summer Residence Kultaranta is also here, on an island opposite the harbour.

Naantali is one of Finland's most charming and safest small towns. Crime is essentially non-existent. The main practical concern is accommodation — book well in advance in July (Moominworld peak).
