safeThe Las Vegas Strip (Las Vegas Blvd) is heavily policed and safe for tourists. Casinos employ extensive private security. Downtown Fremont Street is safe during the evening show but the immediate surrounding blocks have rough elements — stay on Fremont Street itself. Drink spiking in clubs is a real risk — never leave your drink unattended. Heat stroke is a serious hazard in summer (June–Sept) — hydrate constantly; temperatures frequently exceed 45°C.
