Gothenburg (Göteborg) is safe — Sweden's second city with a lively arts and food scene. Haga (hipster cobblestone district), Nordstan shopping precinct, and the Götaplatsen cultural quarter are all safe. Biskopsgården in Hisingen (across the river) has higher crime rates but is not a tourist area. Liseberg Amusement Park and the West Sweden archipelago are entirely safe. Emergency: 112 (police, ambulance, fire).
