Safety
safeCórdoba is one of Spain's safest historic cities. The Mezquita-Catedral area and Judería quartier are peaceful and safe. Main issue is extreme heat in summer (July–August regularly reaches 40°C+) — this is a greater health risk than any crime. Avoid La Fuensanta and the outer industrial ring. Emergency: 112, 091 (police).
Women travellers
Córdoba is very safe for solo women. The Judería (Jewish quarter), Medina Azahara area, and the riverside area around the Roman Bridge are all peaceful and safe at all hours. Solo evenings in the tapas bars are normal and encouraged.
